Physics Exhibition at St Thomas More, GSS, Sta Lucia.

All Form 3 students at St. Thomas More GSS St. Lucia were for the first time given the opportunity to be young scientists. They all were encouraged to participate in the Physics exhibition with various models.

The Physics exhibition
Every exhibition has something to offer to everyone. The main purpose behind the exhibition was to provide a platform for the students to showcase their inner talents. They were asked to think beyond the regular and be innovative.

The students had the opportunity to participate either on an individual basis or in groups. Working in groups was given first preference as it gives the students the possibility to learn different life skills such as team work, leadership and sharing. Parents’ help was also encouraged. Parents always turn out to be an invaluable resource of innovative ideas.

The scope of the exhibition was to help students show their inner talents and strengthen their knowledge of the subject matter. This was clearly manifested during the lessons; there was a perceivable increase in their motivation and interest.

Various models related to the themes of Energy Conservation, Solar Energy and Our Solar System were displayed by the students.

This exhibition was set up thanks to the dedication and hard work of Ms Charlotte Saliba Camilleri, Physics HOD, all Physics teachers and Ms McNamara, Head of School.
